International Forest Management Consultants Sdn. Years 2015 to 2016

  • Gap analyses, advisory and technical support services to achieve forest certification (MC&I, FSC) for various clients in Sabah and Sarawak, Malaysia.
  • Development of a Growth and Yield Simulation Model for Forest Department Sarawak.
  • Regular forest auditing works in collaboration with GFS Support Sdn. Bhd. on Timber Legality Assurance System (TLAS) and compliance with Reduced Impact Logging (RIL) Guidelines of forest license holders in Sabah, Malaysia.
  • Processing and analyses of IFSAR data for Digital Terrain Model DTM, Digital Surface Model DSM, contour extraction, slope classification, and relief model for various clients in Sabah and Sarawak. 
  • Evaluation of impacts of the ZEBRA Logging System to support sustainable forest management in Sarawak.
  • Collection, processing and analysis of aerial photos using Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Systems (UAVS) for land use and resource mapping in forestry and agriculture for various clients in Sabah and Sarawak.
  • Training courses on Reduced Impact Logging (RIL) methods for timber license holders in Sarawak.
  • Development of Forest Resource Assessment Methods and Forest Growth Simulation Model for Timber License Holders in Sabah and Sarawak.
  • Conducting tests of forest audits using draft standards for implementation of the Sarawak Timber Legality Verification System (ST-LVS).
  • Processing and analysis of SPOT 6/7 satellite imagery for clients in Sabah and Sarawak: classification of land uses, forest types, forest strata, and forest disturbance.
