Aerial imagery is currently the most popular Remote Sensing application on-demand. Aerial imagery is one of the important primary source to capture Geospatial data for Geospatial modelling and analysis in Geographical Information Systems (GIS). Depending on the specific application purpose and the areal coverage aerial imagery collections using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) can be an economical alternative compared to the use of a conventional aircraft or ordering Satellite Imagery. At ifmc we develop custom-build Professional UAS solutions for forestry applications through utilisation of open source softwares for UAVs and on the market Remote Control (RC) hardware components. This ensures that ifmc can deliver UAS solutions to our clients at a lowest possible cost.

ifmc also provides services for specific imagery analysis as required by the user. Such services will normally be charged on a per-hectare basis (optional: lumpsum price), according to client specifications.

 

2. Custom Built Unmanned Aerial Vehicle and Training Option Solutions

Currently, ifmc offers three UAV aircraft airframes which include the FX-61 Phantom Flying Wing, Skywalker fixed wing UAV, and FX-79 Buffalo Flying Wing.

 

OPTION A - Medium Range (Flying Wing)


An entry level UAV highly recommended for new operatorswhich can cover small to medium size project areas. Easy to use, durable, convenient transportation in 3 pieces (wings and body), light, easy hand launch. Also can be designed as auto-take off launch using bungee cord assistance. Flight mission can be pre-programmed for semi-automated or fully automated operation from “start-to-end” mission.

OPTION B - Long Range (Fixed Wing)


The most well-known UAV & FPV platform which is known for its reliability and performance. The Skywalker UAV is very stable and capable of handling wind turbulences. This UAV is recommended for more experienced operators.

OPTION C - Long Range (Flying Wing)


FX-79 Buffalo, the bigger brother to the phantom is a very stable UAV platform. It flies very well and efficient thanks to the flying wing aerodynamics. This Buffalo comes with a 2 meter wing span beast and can be dis-assembled into three pieces for transport, i.e. wings and fuselage.
